Tatinis believes in promoting local artists and entrepreneurs by showcasing their work through www.tatinis.comAbout Indian Miniature PaintingTraditional Indian Mughal Miniature
Painting is a classical form of Indian art which evolved in the era of Mughals
to depict life as beautiful form of aesthetic art. Hence, with reason, it is
also termed as an alternative source of history. It developed in India under
the patronage of Mughal emperors with Persian influence but declined with
Aurangzeb as he did not encourage it. Now the knowledge of this art is limited
to a small number of artists in India, mostly located in Jaipur,
Rajasthan. About the workshopThis is an introductory 3 hours hands
on session, where you will learn the elements of miniature painting in form of
colouring, shading and embellishing the painting as a part of this experience. We will be focussing on one aspect of the painting. You should be able to accomplish a beautifully intricate, piece of miniature
art all done by yourself under Shalini’s guidance. You need not have prior
experience. About Shalini Gupta
