Come & join us for the third of our monthly Walking Tours. Our very experienced and knowledgeable guide (she is an NParks guide as well as STB) will take us through the delightful Coney island, pointing out areas of particular interest, especially wildlife. We will also look at the historical significance of the area.Besides being rich in history, the 50 ha Coney Island Park houses a wide variety of habitats, including coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. It is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora, some of which are critically endangered. Some plants at the park are presumed nationally extinct in the wild.Our guide is also a bird expert so expect lots on that front too!After a 2 hour walk, we will go to the nearby Ponggol for refreshments (included in the price) before heading back to town.Please note you have a choice of meeting us at Dempsey at 8am to drive up to the Reserve , or to meet us in Ponggol at 8:30am; tickets are priced for these 2 options accordingly. The relevant directions will be sent to you a few days before the walk.
