Women are less likely to receive the first critical promotion to manager—so far fewer end up on the path to leadership—and they are less likely to be hired into more senior positions. As a result, the higher you look in companies, the fewer women you see. The McKinsey Women in the Workplace 2016 uncovered some interesting insights into what is helping and hindering women. We will be joined by Vidhya Ganesan, Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company Singapore, who will share the main findings from the study. We will then work in small circles to create proactive, action-orientated strategies women can use day to day to further their careers and over come gender bias.EVENT SCHEDULE6:00PM: Registration & Refreshments7:00PM: Welcome from Edelman Singapore7:10PM: Introduction to Lean In & Icebreakers7:40PM: McKinsey Women in the Workplace Presentation8:10PM: Circle Discussion (in small groups)9:00PM: Group Sharing of Strategies & Personal Actions9.30PM Onwards: Networking (drinks included!)This event is organized in partnership with Edelman Singapore.###Let’s #LeanInTogether.Women accomplish amazing things when we support each other.
