Specialising in a very unique brand of intricate, colourful dance music, Murlo’s hugely varied output is informed in equal parts by his love of dancehall, soca, garage, bassline, grime and more.With recent releases on Glacial Sound, Rinse Recordings, Oil Gang and Unknown to the Unknown, Murlo joined the Brooklyn-based Mixpak label in late 2014. The first product of this partnership, a vocal record called ‘Jasmine’, was warmly received, enjoying extensive international coverage. He’s about to drop the second EP ‘Odyssey’ - a full instrumental record and his boldest artistic statement to date.As a DJ, Murlo’s reputation is rising fast - in 2014 he presented a run of shows on BBC 1Xtra as part of Cameo’s ‘Xtra Talent’ showcase, while more recently his monthly residency on NTS Radio has gathered a loyal listenership.
