ASB SpeakUp™ is a face-to-face meetup and business networking event where a number of people give a short pitch, followed by voting by the audience to select a few winners who will then be given enough time to do a longer pitch. ASB SpeakUp™ Business Networking at Black Sheep Cafe Date: Tuesday, 5 November 2013 (3.30pm to 5.30pm) Venue: Black Sheep Café – B1-30 Thomson V2, 11 Sin Ming Road. Singapore Do you have anything to pitch, promote, inform, educate or persuade everybody? Or you want to validate an idea in a closed group? Or just want to learn and improve your public speaking skills? Be it your business, product, service, brand, project, event, web site, organization, charity, philosophy or even yourself, now everyone can pitch! You can participate to pitch, or just to listen and vote. If you are pitching, you will be given 3 minutes to do a short pitch. There will be up to 7 presenters. After the short pitches, all audience will vote for the top 3 pitches they want to hear more. If you are one of the 3 pitch winners, you will be given another 7 minutes to give a full presentation of your pitch! Ground Rules Rules are few but just to keep everyone focused and benefited: Presenters must come early before the event start and be present during drawing of lots in order to pitch. Late-comers are not allowed to pitch. You are allowed for only one short pitch, unless there are not enough pitches. To vote, you must be present at the time vote papers are distributed. Only those who have the vote paper and stay through the short pitches can vote. Stick to the time limit of your pitch. Maximum 3 minutes for short pitch and 7 minutes for long pitch. There will be strict timer control. Be open-minded to comments, feedback and criticisms. This is an opportunity for you to validate your idea in a closed group. Neither overhead projector nor microphone is provided. Let's present without PowerPoint. Welcome to bring along your supporters, but they need to register with payment first. Support the venue provider by ordering at least one drink (from S$4 each), and better still, let's have a meal together! The event organizer / DW Associates Pte Ltd reserves the right to impose new rules or modify existing rules to improvise according to circumstances.
