If you can't make it earlier or too busy, just swing by for the part 2!About Mpho MuendaneMpho is a U.S. born textile designer with a Mozambican-South African-Tanzanian-Zambian origin who grew up and studied textile design in South Africa. Her bold and modern textile design is originally hand-drawn and inspired by her own culture and inspirations from the African continent. Her work has been featured in several media including Elle South Africa and the Boston Globe.Part 1: Design Talk (Door opens at 7, the talk starts at 7:30)At the event, Mpho will share her story as a textile designer: Design process, stories behind respective textile designs, and her passion for creating her own brand. She was born in the US to refugee parents and later moved to South Africa to study textile design.
