Spam Laws in the Global Economy
Summary:Over the many years of cyber, law and regulation have struggled to
keep up with technological advances. Spam, in particular, was subject to
no, or poor hinderances over the years. That has changed, however, in
2014. Neil Schwartzman, the Executive Director of CAUCE will examine
CAUCE’s role in the development of Canada’s Anti-spam Law, which deals
with all electronic communications and software installations on user
devices, as well as how that law has had an impact on spam, globally
since it came into effect in 2014. Lastly, he will highlight how it will
further impact internationally in 2017.
