Singapore Biennale 2016: An Atlas of Mirrors
A Model Home (Free Talk by Debbie Ding)

Singapore Biennale 2016 artist Debbie Ding will be speaking about her work for 'An Atlas of Mirrors': "Shelter", a life-size model of a HDB Household Shelter situated within the National Museum's History Gallery. She will speak about 3D modelling and 3D prototyping as a mode of artistic production - which casts the artist as facilitator of a process of understanding.

Mr Cho Sai Chee is a retired URA modelmaker who has been working on models of Singapore since the 1960s, including models for the URA Draft Master Plan. He will be bringing down a few of his models and giving us an insight into his process of model-making over his 51 year career.

This will be followed by a discussion and response by Dr Lilian Chee, Assistant Professor from Department of Architecture, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore.

This is a 1hr 15 mins session and admission is free.

National Museum Singapore is a partner venue of Singapore Biennale 2016: An Atlas of Mirrors.
