Talk: Stories of and from Santiniketan
Since 1996, Gajah Gallery has established itself as a leading venue for modern and contemporary Southeast Asian art. Lesser known is its founder and director Jasdeep Sandhu's investigations into the Southeast Asian alumni of the art school Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan founded by Rabindranath Tagore. He will revisit encounters with esteemed individuals from this ashram-turned-university alongside Yin Ker, whose work on Myanmar's Bagyi Aung Soe (another alumnus of Tagore's school) first began at the gallery.
