Join us for the third Global Shapers Speaker Series with YB Steven Sim who will be sharing his thoughts on responsive and responsible leadership, how he engages his constituents, and how we can build a culture of good governance. SPEAKER YB Steven Sim Chee Keong - Young Global Leader (2012), World Economic Forum- Member of Parliament for Bukit Mertajam (Penang)Steven Sim is the Member of Parliament for Bukit Mertajam. He currently sits on the governing board of the Penang Institute, a leading public policy think tank based in Penang, Malaysia. He is a member of various committees advising the Penang State Government and is also the convener of #BetterPenang, a city-based project which promotes local democracy and urban rejuvenation. In 2012, he was one of the two Malaysians named “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum, one of five communities under the WEF which represents the brightest young leaders around the world.
