Talk 05 Hideyuki Katsumata " Hanauta and Hideyuki "You cannot be unmoved by Hideyuki's crazy colourful creations and his pet monster character Hanauta!Coem and be inspired as Hideyuki share stories about his journey as a self taught Illustrator and his many projects, shows and collabs inside and outside Japan. He will also cover his creative process and his life as an independent illustrator in Japan. Hideyuki Katsumata ( Japan ) http://hideyk.com/ Hideyuki Katsumata has been exhibiting in Japan since 2002. He has exhibited in many solo shows & included in various group shows around the world, such as "Asie Riderz" in Nantes, France, 2015 and “USO de HONTOU” at DCA gallery in Dundee, Scotland, 2015 to name a few. Hideyuki has also illustrated for various CD and vinyl records, including covers for Little Dragon, CUZ (Sam Dook from The GO! Team & Mike Watt from The Stooges) and Rainbow Arabia. Apart from being a drawing and painting mad man, he also loves to create motion video works for music clips and live VJing.About the FestivalIllustration Arts Fest (IAF) is Singapore’s first indie illustration-centric festival! As part of the 10th anniversary of the Organisation of Illustrators Council (OIC Singapore), the Council is teaming up with Singapore Writers Festival (SWF), LASALLE College of the Arts; and East London Comics Arts Festival (ELCAF) and Nobrow Press to present the inaugural IAF, celebrating illustrators and illustration in Asia.The IAF is focused on originally created content and narratives by independent illustrators who work in styles and art forms which are not commonly seen in Asia. This is distinguished from the more prevalent trend of superheroes, manga and anime themes.
