The country stretches almost 3000 miles along the Pacific coast of South America, and its climate ranges from dry, desert places in the North to sub-polar ice fields in the south. Such diversity in climate is well-reflected in the country's ability to produce a wide range of wine styles, and do it well. One of the most respected producers in the Chilean wine scene would be Santa Rita Winery, which has been in business since 1880 and currently has most of its plantings in Maipo Valley just south of Santiago. We will be tasting three great wines from them, including Chile's signature red varietal of Carmenere. As we travel farther South, we find Louis Felipe Edwards, another reputable producer located in Colchagua Valley. Here, we'll be tasting their take on Chile's most-planted grape Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a delicately sweet late-harvest Viognier Sauvignon Blanc. Montes Angel Brut NVSanta Rita Gran Hacienda Sauvignon Blanc 2014Santa Rita Gran Hacienda Merlot 2014Santa Rita Medalla Real Carmenere 2012Louis Felipe Edwards Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva 2013Louis Felipe Edwards Late Harvest Viognier Sauvignon Blanc 2010Wherever you dine in Singapore, chances are you will be encountering a bottle or two of Chilean wine in the list, and this voyage will certainly equip you with key knowledge to navigate your way towards finding your favourite style!Other Dates & DestinationsClick on the destination of your choice to navigate to our Ticketing Page powered by Peatix.Tickets are also available at our Front Desk on board the Riverboat.
