institutions along Serangoon Road, the Angullia Mosque was built between 1890
and 1898 by Gujarati Muslim trader Mohammed Salleh Eusoof Angullia. The
gatehouse is a remnant of the original mosque structure, and was gazetted as a
conserved building by the URA in 2014. The location of the mosque on Serangoon
Road contributes to its popularity – Sundays and festival days see thousands of
worshippers at the Angullia Mosque.
