Over the past two decades, her artistic journey has seen her develop an extensive body of works, including paintings, sculptures and installations, which have been exhibited in Asia, Europe and the United States.Kumari has received many accolades as an artist. More recently, her 6.6 metres Tango sculpture was nominated and awarded the Sculpture of the Year at the 15th edition of the Shanghai Art Fair 2011.The works of Kumari are well sought after by museums, galleries and private collectors. Kumari is noted for her signature and iconic, monumental public art sculptures. The giant bronze chilli-pepper, Pedas Pedas (2006) was commissioned by the National Museum of Singapore, the Saga (2007) at Changi Airport, Singapore, the Nutmeg (2009) at ION Orchard, Singapore, You and Me (2010) for GTower, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Pembungaan (2011), a monumental bronze mural of over 45m in length at OUE Bayfront, Singapore.
