However, over the past 5 years, Godiva Japan sales have doubled, in a Japanese chocolate market that has remained flat during the same period and with a sluggish overall economy. Furthermore, in recent global staff feedback surveys within the Godiva group, Godiva Japan has moved from being average on measures of staff engagement to being at or near the top.How did this major turnaround happen?—That is the topic of Jerome Chouchan's talk on October 18, focused around his new book Target which was published earlier this year.Jerome Chouchan graduated from HEC Paris, one of Europe's leading business schools, in 1984 with a Master Degree in Management. In 1989 he moved to Japan where he soon started practising Kyudo and married a Japanese. Since then he has held a number of senior executive position at leading global brands in this country, including at Lacoste, Hennesy LVMH Group and was President of Lladro Japan immediately prior to joining Godiva.PRESENTATION 2ATTRACTING THE NEW GENERATION OF JAPANESE TALENT5 Key Trends Impacting Companies' Hiring Strategies by Tatsunobu MaitaChanges are taking place in the Japanese workforce.
