What is innovation? Mr. Phillip Keane will discuss the MIT model of innovation, in the context of "technology push" and "market pull." He will apply this model to the commercial space industry, "NewSpace," to examine its exponential growth.Mr. Keane has a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from Coventry University, UK, a MSc in Space Studies from International Space University, France and is currently doing a PhD at NTU, focused on 3D printed materials for use in spacecraft. He has worked for Rolls-Royce, Airbus Military and the European Southern Observatory, and writes tech and space articles for Engineering.com and Asian Scientist magazine.
