Want to know how choreographers think when creating a dance piece? What challenges do these artists have? How do you run a dance company? What is dance all about? A new event at Esplanade's da:ns festival; Coffee Chats is a rare opportunity to have an intimate conversation with a dance artist or practitioner.In this session, be in conversation with Tania Goh on Explorations of a Dancer-Producer to know more about the balancing act of holding two roles in dance productions. Come prepared for an engaging session at Coffee Chats.How does it work?In each session, up to three people get 20 minutes to ask questions and dialogue with artists and practitioners. Due to the limited slots available, please be at the venue 10 minutes before the event. In the situation that you are not present, we will give your slot to another on the waiting list.To be placed on the waiting list, please email us at dansfestival@esplanade.com.About the ConversationalistDirector of her own firm, SaltShaker Productions, Tania's experience ranges from not-for-profit arts companies to international musicals such as the ABBA musical, MAMMA MIA! and the award-winning Disney musical, The Lion King. This year, together with the National Arts Council, she spearheaded Singapore’s inaugural presence at the international dance fair, Tanzmesse (Germany) with the participation of Singapore’s foremost companies and independent artists. Tania is Producer of the M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival by T.H.E Dance Company. The Festival presents local and international artists in performances, workshops and residencies. As a dance practitioner, her great love is Flamenco, an art she studies in Seville, Southern Spain. In Singapore, she directs the Rose Borromeo Spanish Dance Company, growing the genres of Classical Spanish dance and Flamenco in Southeast Asia. Her fluent Spanish language comes in handy when working with and touring Spanish artists to the Asia-Pacific market.
