Want to know how choreographers think when creating a dance piece? What challenges do these artists have? How do you run a dance company? What is dance all about? A new event at Esplanade's da:ns festival; Coffee Chats is a rare opportunity to have an intimate conversation with a dance artist or practitioner.In this session, be in conversation with Bani Haykal on Negotiating Spaces: Anxieties of Making Music to know more about the mediations that happen between dance and the music. Come prepared for an engaging session at Coffee Chats.How does it work?In each session, up to three people get 20 minutes to ask questions and dialogue with artists and practitioners. Due to the limited slots available, please be at the venue 10 minutes before the event. Working with a broad range of instruments, from acoustic to digital, traditional and hacked, his projects revolve around modes of interfacing and interaction. He is a member of b-quartet and Soundpainting ensemble Erik Satay & The Kampong Arkestra.
