Dancescape VI presents it's sixth production iCancer-Vive, a full fledge male choreographers coming together to presents their new
work. All the concepts are base on true stories of the cancer patients and
their family members. We are glad to have Renown Music Composer , Mr. Roy
Loi 黎沸挥,
who will be writing a new song for the production. Professional music composer,
Mr Marvin Leung will be performing live music for one of the
production's dance choreographies.
This year we also have two multi-talented Mediacorp Artistes to join us
in this meaningful production. Miss Ya Hui 雅慧 and Miss Bonnie Loo 罗美仪. About Us
We are a non-profit
organization known as Dancescape (Singapore). Our mission and vision is to
nurture and create excellent artistes through various training and mentoring
programs. This year, we will be presenting our sixth production entitled “Dancescape
VI – iCancer-Vive” at School of the Arts, Singapore. Further information on

Objectives
·
Furthering cancer awareness and increasing support for cancer
patients from the community, and to bridge and strengthen ties among cancer
patients and family members coping with cancer by providing a platform for them
to interact and engage in a common activity;

Inspiring cancer patients to never lose hope and to bravely
pursue their passions and dreams through dance;
·
Giving back to society by donating profits to cancer
beneficiaries; and
·
Exploring the coexistence of dance and cancer, and creating
works with unconventional associations thereby encouraging flourishment of arts
and culture and
generate a greater appreciation for dance.
Synopsis
Using the spread of cancerous cells as a concept, we plan to show how
these cells stealthily destroy the lives of cancer patients as well as their
family members and friends.
Through dance as a medium, we hope to spread the message of positivity by
protraying stories of cancer patients and questioning the following five (5)
themes:

Love – Love conquers everything?

Family – Nothing breaks a family bond?

Friends – Understanding friendships?

Strangers – Beauty of strangers?
