Last year, Laura joined the board of ASX-listed APD, a 360 degree digital services business. Laura will share with us the kind of learnings and experience we need to build to prep for board eligibility and readiness; the differences between driving change and growth within our own organisation vs within a board environment and the learnings from board work that apply back into her day job. Laura has worked as a brand-side marketer for the majority of her career spanning her native Canada and twenty years in Asia across two stints. Renowned as a B2B marketer and communications specialist, Laura has driven marketing strategy and transformation across a number of sectors. Currently Director of Business Development/Marketing/Communications at legal giant Baker & McKenzie in APAC, Laura has also worked for A.T. Kearney, Electrolux, Shell, Saatchis and Johnson & Johnson and run her own business. As usual, the format for the evening is a meet and greet from 7pm - 7.30pm with the presentation to start by 7.45pm. We aim to finish the formalities by 10pm and to exit the venue by 10.30pm at the latest. SWIMMA is not a sponsored event and as a result, every guest pays their own dinner costs. To confirm your attendance, please pre-pay via this Peatix invite. For this venue, we will experiment with a dinner plus two drinks price. On the night, if you wish to order more wine, you can choose to purchase separately from the wine cellars.ABOUT SWIMMA - Singapore Women in Media, Marketing, AdvertisingA regular invitation only catch up of senior female marketing and media executives with regional responsibility at their companies and / or experienced entrepreneurs.
