SINCA Online Debate “Every adult in Japan should be vaccinated by the end of 2021.”（English explanation follows below)　当初は米国や英国に比べて、日本では、地方自治体を中心としたワクチン接種への取り組みがとても遅く、どうなることか、と思われていたのですが、この数週間、東京大阪の大規模接種会場での接種や、職域での接種などオプションが広がってきています。ログインもできない、電話も繋がらないという地域のサイトに加えて、新たなウェブサイトが立ち上がり、地域によっては、大規模接種会場を設けたり、かかりつけ医を通じて予約接種をしたりとオプションが広がって、高齢者や医療従事者だけでなく、対象も広がり、ワクチン接種が進みつつあります。それでもまだ大人の人口に対して2回の接種を終えた人の比率は米英などに比べるとまだまだですが、接種のスピードは増してきています。　　　一方、集団免疫には、全体の70−80％の接種が必要と言われているので、そこまでにはまだかなりの課題があります。実際、色々な理由でワクチンを拒否する人もある一定数はいると言われています。　これだけ話題になっていますし、また色々な意見がある中で、実際ワクチンの量や各地への物流はできるのか、など課題はありますが、コロナワクチンの接種を義務化すべきかというテーマでディベートします。ディベートのテーマは「日本にいる大人は、2021年末までにワクチン接種を受けるべきである」　セッションは7月18日（日曜日）夜8時から。オンライン開催です。　参加を希望される方は、Peatixのサイトから登録してください。その際、希望する役割ーディベートチームに参加される方は、どちらのチームに入りたいか。肯定側か否定側か、あるいは、ジャッジとして見学、コメントをしたいーを書いてください。登録された方には、事前に準備ができるように、チームメンバーなどをお知らせします。　　また当日、オンラインのためのzoomのリンクをお知らせします。[参加にあたってのお知らせ]１．セッションはすべて英語で行われます。２．定員50名。先着により申込を締め切らせて戴きます。 定員に達した場合はご容赦ください。 　３．セッション中の様子を写真・動画で撮影いたします。後日、 セミナーレポート等に活用する可能性があります。 ご了承ください、　SINCA Online DEBATE “Covid-19 vaccination.” “Every adult in Japan should be vaccinated by the end of 2021.” 　　　　After the very slow start of vaccination, the vaccination drive seems to pick up the pace in Japan.  As more variants such as Delta are emerging, vaccination has become critical to contain global pandemic.  It is our understanding that herd immunity is possible when 70-80% of the population is vaccinated.     Originally the local government has been in charge of sending tickets for vaccination to the residents (in the order of age and work related to healthcare), but with so much difficulty of getting appointment etc., large scale vaccination venues have been opened in Tokyo and Osaka with supervision of Self Defense Forces,  and now in other cities.  In addition, the vaccination by the companies has begun to cover large number of people.  Even with this effort, the ratio of people finished with two vaccination shots is still quite low in Japan, making the herd immunity a big challenge.    So, the topic of the debate on July 18  will be conducted with the following statement “Every adult in Japan should be vaccinated by the end of the year 2021.”  We understand that some people do not want to vaccine for a variety of reasons, and the topic of making vaccination mandatory to attend some events etc. has been debated.   As you can argue with good reasons for either Affirmative or Negative, this would be a great topic for debate.    The session will be held at 8 pm on Sunday, July 18 and we will form at least two teams-Affirmative and Negative.  As this is the topic many people are interested, we may form two teams each for two rounds with the same topic.    Please register through peatix site and state what role you want to take, if you join the debate, state which team (Affirmative or Negative) you want to join.  If you want to observe as judge, please state that when you register. We will inform the members of the teams in advance so that they can prepare their argument, like the last debate session.We will inform zoom link on the day to those who register.(Note)1．All session will be conducted in English.2．The maximum number of participants are 50, so if the total numbers of applicants exceed 50, we cannot accept the application.3．We will take the pictures and vide throughout session, and we may use it on SNS or HP.
