[The 3D Pixel]Join experimental illustrator André Wee as he introduces his workflow on how he creates some of his vibrant and bustling 3D worlds using 3-dimensional pixels called Voxels. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, majoring in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is now based in Singapore after having previously worked in New York and Boston. He is most interested in the in-between spaces that we find hidden in our everyday lives. It is these "liminal spaces" that he is trying to concretely capture in his artwork, a moment which is fleeting and yet intrinsically grounded. André explores these concepts across a variety of media, ranging from oil painting to digital sculpting. Over the years, he has exhibited both locally and internationally in a number of countries primarily in the United States and in Europe.
