In looking at "Temporary Structures in Community Spaces", we speak to guest speakers about some temporary structures that have brought life to communities. Case Study | Archifest PavilionLondon has the Serpentine Pavilion in Hyde Park. Singapore has our very own Archifest Pavilion, offering a temporal experience for visitors to enjoy a respite in the midst of buzzy city life. At the point of this talk, DP Architects will be in the midst of constructing their winning entry for the Archifest 2016 Pavilion Design Competition - RGB Pavilion. Situated at Raffles Place Park, this will be the festival village for the annual public festival celebrating architecture and the built environment, from 23 Sep to 9 Oct.How did the design process start, based on 'exhale', the theme of the festival? Is it really possible to create a zero-waste structure? How does a good-looking structure 'engage' passer-bys? Ms Ang Guo Zi, Associate Director of DP Architects Pte Ltd, and the lead designer of the Archifest Paviion, will explain how their winning entry challenges the rapidity and density of activities that define our pace of life, weigh-in on the state of Singapore’s built environment and breathe new life into it.Case Study | Drama Box LtdHave you seen a giant 'marble' in your neighbourhood?
