Welcome! Let's start off the first ever React Hong Kong meetup with a bang! There'll be food, drinks, and great talks by wonderful people! Schedule: 19:00 - 19:45 - Food (probably Pizza), drinks and mingling 19:45 - 20:15 - Understanding React (by Daniel Li) 20:15 - 20:45 - Get up and running FAST with React (by Adrian Li) 20:45 - 21:15 - Networking and Mingling Talk 1 - Understanding React (by Daniel Li) There are many frameworks which can, on the surface, achieve the same goals as React (e.g. Angular, or heck, even just jQuery!). So instead, we'll go over some of the principles of React - components, virtual DOM, props and states etc., focusing on the why you should use React instead of how. Talk 2 - Get up and running FAST with React (by Adrian Li) React.js is supposed to make your life easier, so why is it so annoying to get everything setup? What can we do to make our life easier when developing with React.js? The talks are aimed at beginners since most people are not familiar with React.
