Of course, anyone who has studied his plays will also be welcome. There will be discussions and recitations of scenes from “The Merchant of Venice” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The selected scenes have been specifically chosen to create discussion on cultural differences. The 2 hours will be broken down into lecture (less than 1/3 of the total time), small group discussions and rehearsal time (another 1/3) and recitations, followed by open discussion by all participants (the final 1/3). Facilitator: Toshiro Miyama has been a management consultant for 30 years.He is the author of “Why capable leaders love ‘King Lear’. He has played major roles in such plays as ‘King Lear’, ‘Julius Caesar’, and ‘Hamlet’, both in English and Japanese, and directed ‘The Merchant of Venice’.  He was the first chairperson of the University Shakespeare Association.
