How much history can one learn, from walking about one hill?  Find out by coming on down to Bukit Brown on 16 July 2016, at 4.30 pm and walking around Hill 3 with Keng Kiat.Don't be surprised if you visit revolutionaries who planned to overthrow the Emperor, or a Municipal Commissioner who moved for a municipal grave for Chinese people.  Or even a philanthropist with a school named after him.  What about a TCM physician and his pair of famous guards?  Or a banker who helped start one of the famous banks of today?  Or, or even, a labour supplier who helped to mine Christmas Island?  Who knows - but be prepared to be surprised by who you never knew you ought to have known. -------------------------------------------------------------------------The guided walk starts at 04.30 pm and will end at 07.00 pm.Meeting Point: Meeting Point B. Walk towards Sime Road in the direction of Kheam Hock Road until you see Lorong Halwa.From South: Go to Farrer Road MRT and walk to bus-stop #11111 at Farrer Road, in front of Blocks 2 & 3. Then, turn left into the second road called Lorong Halwa New Cemetery Access (see map), where parking is limited along the roadside near the meeting point.
