Woodworking Introduction

Woodworking Intro is your first step in experiencing the meditative and relaxing world of shaping wood. We offer this beginner’s course to emphasise the importance of listening to your inner artist. Learn to use a light touch as you shave, file, saw, drill, and cut to reveal beautiful forms from within the wood.

What you will learn
  • Get started with using the handsaw, and apply the 'Stop-Cut' technique to the cut wood material
  • Chisel the wood blocks to create a rough outline of the spatula
  • Using a Drill machine to puncture a hole for hanging
  • Learn how to use the spoke-shave to contour your spatula into shape
  • Apply final touches by sanding and smoothening the spatula

About the Instructor: Oh Robin
Passionate about customised wood crafting and making things in general, Robin is also a person who has walked the entrepreneurial path. He possesses the necessary hands-on experience to advise innovators – on the methods and technologies applicable for their prototyping needs.
