HOUSE PARTY House Party is a brand new spoken word show brought to you by performance artists Marc Nair, Shivram Gopinath and Marylyn Tan. Sitting at the intersection of poetry, theatre and comedy, the audience is invited to a 'House Party,' but when they arrive they find the hosts still waiting for their guests. To pass the time, they play party games, read from bad sex novels, reminisce about stealing books and childhood love affairs and even rehearse their special half-time show. Who We Are Marc Nair is a poet and photographer from Singapore. He has published six volumes of poetry. A seasoned poetry slammer, he has performed spoken word for over ten years in more than ten countries and has represented Singapore in international competitions. He is also a founding member of local spoken word troupe, Party Action People and will be the 2016-17 NTU-NAC National Writer in Residence. Shivram Gopinath is a writer and spoken word performer, and is the 2015 and 2016 National Poetry Slam champion.Marylyn Tan is a full-time linguistics major and part-time cuddle fiend who stimulates audiences through spoken word, page poetry, and visual disturbances .
