The Poet of Unlove

Follow the poet of unlove, Marc Nair, in a journey that blends spoken word with pop culture, social commentary and satire. In his one-man show, Marc makes light of our quicky universe; from a song on cliches to television for dogs and even Kenny G, turning an incisive eye to to the weird, wonderful and wild in life.

About Marc Nair:
Marc Nair is a poet and photographer from Singapore. He has published six volumes of poetry and has been featured in numerous anthologies both print and online.

A seasoned poetry slammer, he has performed spoken word for over ten years in more than ten countries and has represented Singapore in international competitions. He is also a founding member of local spoken word troupe, Party Action People.

Marc was the 2015 Writer-In-Residence at Gardens by the Bay. A former teacher, Marc enjoys teaching creative writing and photography classes in schools and institutions.

Marc is also a musician who sets his poems to music. To date, he has released two spoken word albums with his band, Neon and Wonder. He also collaborates with well-known Singapore musicians such as Bani Haykal, weish and Tim De Cotta.

He is the co-founder and principal photographer of Mackerel, a culture magazine.
