Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Golf Fundraiser | Peatix tag:peatix.com,2011:1 2019-11-01T22:30:19-04:00 Peatix Michael Harris Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Golf Fundraiser tag:peatix.com,2016:event-177599 2016-08-15T09:00:00EST 2016-08-15T09:00:00EST On August 15th, 2016, we will be hosting a golf fundraiser held at Tartan Fields Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.  The fundraiser raises money for MMRF (The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation).  Last year this event was held under the name of The Miami University Honorary Golf Outing, in which, it honored past Miami Hockey coach Bill Davidge, who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma back in September of 2014.  While there is not yet a cure for this terrible cancer of the bone marrow, with your help, there can be.  Please come out to support the cause, enjoy a nice day on the golf course, and meet some of the players at dinner after the round.About the 2016 Spotlight:Bill Davidge is a former Ohio State hockey Alumni who served as the head hockey coach at Miami University from 1985-1989.  The current Columbus Bluejackets analyst has been successfully fighting Multiple Myeloma, a cancer developing in one’s bone marrow, which causes deficient antibody producing plasma cells, for over 18 months.  Information:In an attempt to raise awareness and find a cure for cancer, all proceeds will be donated to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, where they strive to develop a next generation treatment for Multiple Myeloma.
