It's been awhile since we last have a meetup together! This round we got some big name from GRAB !!!

Aaron Gill is a good friend of our community. He is one of those earlier team member when MyTeksi started. We are going to talk about his entrepreneurial journey before and after GRAB (p.k.a MyTeksi / GrabTaxi). We are going deep into his mind to learn about they daily operations, how they manage to scale & growth hack the company within 4 years and most importantly, Grab's initiatives in Johor Bahru!

If you din't know it yet, Grab car is already in JB and Aaron will be driving it's growth in JB.

Being known as one of those exceptional entrepreneurs & tech rockstar driving innovation in Malaysia, Aaron also involves himself in various startup / tech events in the region by lending his time and experience providing mentorship and advise to entrepreneurs, despite busy schedule.

Speaker Bio

Aaron joined Grab (formerly known as GrabTaxi & MyTeksi), shortly after it was founded in late 2011. He was the very early core team member and primarily looking after the Product and Tech.

He crafted the product vision and recruited the necessary talent to build the product and also did much of the initial Business Development, Partnerships, Operations and Marketing work for in the early days as well.

Today, he is back in the role which he had the most passionate about as Head of Product and continue to drive the product forward.

From six people working out of a store room in 2011, Grab has now grown close to a thousand plus people and expanded to 6 countries and changing the way 600 million people in South East Asia commute every day.

As of Dec 2015, Grab has been downloaded to 9.5 million devices with 170,000 drivers on their network in 26 cities across 6 countries.

They are currently one of South East Asia's leading tech startup and have raised close to USD700million in funding to grow our markets and help users move around safer, cheaper and faster.
