RAWR SESSIONS, a spin-off of Pop Soundwave, brings together concert lovers and local acts at an almost intimate level for a night of adrenaline-pumping, feel-good sensations. Specially curated by the dynamic duo, Kimberly and Melinya, who are actively involved in production for live shows, Rawr Sessions will feature 2 acts, a long-time favourite and an upcoming gem that you are sure to fall in love with! Fully supported by Playspace, you'll be sure to experience a concert vibe complete with amazing lights and sound.CRINKLE CUT is a four-piece female group with a unique brand of sound, featuring indie, electro-acoustic arrangements. Crinkle Cut boasts of a vocalist (Frances Thomas) who has sung at various Jazz concerts and festivals, a guitarist (Melissa Wong) who is also an accomplished singer, a keyboardist (Grace Foo) and a percussionist (Ashley Choong) who have performed with names like Steve Thornton. They were featured in Aubrey Suwito's Christmas album in 2014, together with various respectful artists such as Juwita Suwito and Jaclyn Victor. RYÖT JONES is an 8 piece funk/soul band which resides in Kuala Lumpur. The band consists of Deo Karmawan (guitars), Lim Chu Hang (bass), Ikmal Salim/Joelle Benson (keys), Clifford Tan (saxophone), Jazmi Jamaluddin (saxophone), Payung (trumpet), Aaron Giddeon (drums) & Kyren Thomas (vocals). The band is currently working on their debut album and has garnered rave reviews.
