We’re interested in exploring the language of tape, how they have become commonplace in Singapore’s visual culture and how bodies physically respond to these markings. This showcase features a few distinct experiments with tape, exploring different ways we can conform, subvert and play with the rules. - - - - - - - - - - - - - -3:00 - 3:30pmGarap by Ismail Jemaah, Sufri Juwahir and Syimah SabtuShare what you think, they'll share what they feel.- - - - - - - - - - - - - -3:45 - 4:15pmAZURE by Jonit On and Syarifuddin SahariWhat if you were forcefully transported to another universe that exists in the present, yet detached from the reality that you are familiar with? Do you go along, do you challenge, do you change? How will you align yourself, to be true to yourself? AZURE sees two bodies momentarily removed from their current reality and involuntarily plunged into a dystopian dreamscape. They have to negotiate conflict and contradictions, dancing between violence and vulnerability in this state of eerily familiar hypnosis.
