Hi Creative Apps Community! Join us this time to hear from some awesome artist/technologists from NYU's ITP program who are experimenting with photography and creative technology. As always, we'll have plenty of time to hang out, enjoy some food and drink, and chat with nice folks in the community.Featured guests:Ross GoodwinRoss is a creative technologist, artist, language hacker, data scientist, current graduate student at NYU ITP, & former Obama administration ghostwriter. His work employs machine learning, natural language processing, & other computational tools to realize new forms & interfaces for written language. rossgoodwin.com Liu ChangLiu Chang is an artist based in New York. Chang’s practice ranges from audiovisual installation to coding art and interactive installation. Her work uses algorithms to create a new aesthetics in the digital art field. Many of her work have been exhibited in different museums and galleries, including the National Museum of China, Beijing, Power Station of Art, Shanghai, Columbia University, New York, Carroll/Fletcher Gallery, London, etc. www.liuchangitp.com AJ LeVineAJ LeVine is interested in finding new ways to explore the world through photographic imaging. His recent excursions focus on fusing traditional photographic methods with new technological platforms. His research has included in-depth use of 360 degree cameras, stop motion development for virtual reality environments, and designing digital modules for analogue cameras. He most recently created a tool to quickly view, edit, and capture photographic negatives using the smartphone, yielding high quality images.
