Back by popular demand, Wayang Kitchen and Flavors of Mexico are coming together yet again to take you on an exciting journey on how to prepare authentic enchiladas using one of Mexico's most popular gifts to the world - Maize or better known as corn!Originating from Mexico, maize was once valued more than gold by the Mayan, Aztec and Olmec civilization. In fact, when the Spanish arrived in search of gold, they were pointed in the direction of corn as the usage of this unique plant was far more valuable in their way of life. Today, this ingredient is used worldwide and is still used (and loved!) by Mexicans today - which is why you're invited to discover how to cook with it!What will we learn to cook?Esquites - A popular street snack in Mexico, the word esquites comes from the Nahuatl word ízquitl, which means "toasted corn". Unlike your typical corn in the cup, this tasty dish is served with mayonnaise with a hint of lime! Enchiladas Divorciadas -  Made with fried corn tortillas stuffed with chicken, the unique aspect about this dish is the salsa roja and salsa verde which marries itself perfectly (despite the meaning of the dish to be the opposite!). Topped with vegan sour cream and a hint of corn, this dish is the perfect dish to have to celebrate maize! All meal kits will come with our complimentary snack -  Corn chips with chipotle mayo dip!So, who are you cooking with?
