Court adoptions under the Adoption Act 1952 involve a formal court application and result in a court adoption order. However, this option is only available to non-Muslims. Both Muslims and non-Muslims can apply for a departmental adoption and obtain a certificate of adoption under the Registration of Adoptions Act 1952. She gained her legal experience as a paralegal for a year before commencing her pupillage in MahWengKwai & Associates under the guidance of its Managing Partner, Raymond Mah. Jasmine was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2017. Upon admission to the Malaysian Bar, she began her practice in MahWengKwai & Associates as an Associate in 2017. Jasmine continues her practice with MahWengKwai & Associates in the areas of general litigation particularly in medical negligence, citizenship, adoption, labour law, defamation and debt recovery.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Eric Toh graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Australian National University, Australia in 2015 and completed his Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2016.
