He worked as a lead research developer in Microsoft e-Research centre, to build a sensor network platform that utilize mobile phones to record audio signals, for detecting rare bird species and koalas. Dr. Lau then joined Australian Institute of Future Environments to build a Green House Gas Analysis System, which collects, analyzes and publishes data automatically. More recently, Dr. Lau co-founded and served as the CTO for JoinHappen.com, where he designed the technology blueprint and drove product development.Today, Dr. Lau is back in Malaysia teaching software engineering and big data subjects at universities, and provides corporate training. Dr. Lau applies his 15 years of experience in software development, database technologies, data mining and analytics, to provide consultancy on data strategy for companies in various sectors including travel, finance and technology startups. He is now the Principal Trainer for Data Science Certification programme with iTrain Asia Pte Ltd Singapore.Data team from PiktochartWei Jian is Piktochart's Business Analyst. He consults his team members on making data-driven marketing decisions by extracting and analysing behavioural patterns from databases using Python. During free time, he spends time with his newfound love: Balvenie.MY is a devops and RoR developer in Piktochart. His role revolves around scaling the backend infrastructure to support the ever growing user base. He is on an Apple free diet, refusing to use macbooks or iphones.Flavien is scientist at Piktochart. He currently helps in understanding how customers make use of the app to support both UI/UX and design teams. His days are split between Python notebooks, single origin coffee and an EX5.
