This week brings Ethel Yap & Ben Li to VOLT!Ethel is a singer-songwriter influenced by folk outfits like The Swell Season, Glen Hansard, Lisa Hannigan, Ray LaMontagne and Fleet Foxes. She seeks to find authentic ways to tell stories and ponder issues of identity and purpose through song. Ethel is also a theatre actress in the local scene, having worked with many notable theatre companies such as Pangdemonium, W!LD RICE, TNS and TTP, and seeks to build her artistic practice across various disciplines.Music has always been an integral part of Benjamin's life. In his formative years, his father was constantly hovering over audio amplifiers, which his father built as a hobby; Ben's father was also a vinyl aficionado - as such, music was always present in the home. Ben is no stranger to big platforms when it comes to publicperformances. Ben plans to perform for bigger stages in time to come.
