Teamwork, cooperation, artistic merit – everything goes out of the window as we throw one improviser from every team – the sacrificial victim scapegoat volunteer to compete for your favour. That’s right – you are audience, director, judge judy and executioner! You decide who stays on-stage, who walks, who makes you laugh, and who makes you cry with laughter. From 20 improvisers, only one will remain to be your Maestro for the evening.ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!About the show*Maestro (or Micetro) is a format also conceived by Keith Johnstone. Told to devise a show that 50 people could play in, Keith pitted improvisers against each other in a way that would gradually eliminate them from the stage. Players will be grouped at random, perform a scene based on audience suggestions, and the audience decides by cheering or applause how many points each group will be awarded. From large group games to 2-person scenes to monologues - it’s like a tournament, but one with often horrifically arbitrary scoring and thus NOT TO BE TAKEN TOO SERIOUSLY. We’re all friends here. Really. What is the Singapore Improv Festival? From 3 to 5 June, come watch the very first improvised theatre festival in Singapore, Organised by The Improv Company, the festival showcases 15 homegrown local improv teams. For more information, visit the festival website: festival.improv.sg.Full Festival Pass and Day Passes are also available.Individual shows for Singapore Improv FestivalFriday 8pm: Singapore National Improv ChampionshipsSaturday 3pm: Young & DangerousSaturday 5pm: Story Not StorySaturday 8pm: Saturday Night LaughsSunday 3pm: Dial 'M' for MotherSunday 5pm: Double IndecencySunday 8pm: Now It's PersonalImprov workshops at Singapore Improv Festival Updates tag:peatix.com,2016-06-01 06:35:57 2016-06-01 06:35:57 The event description was updated.
