What are some considerations in innovating inclusive products and services to allow for healthy practices and empowerment for the elderly? While taking on a human centered approach, what does it mean to redefine and reimagine a different future of ageing? Who Will Be Speaking?Moderator: Erwin Chan - Capacity Building, raiSEErwin Chan designs innovation and entrepreneurial capacity building programmes at raiSE that activates the Social Entrepreneur’s Head, Heart & Hands for transformation. Erwin has a PhD in biomedical research and is interested in seeing systemic transformations in healthcare. During his post-graduate days, Erwin led medical and dental teams to Cambodia and facilitated social innovation projects in Indonesia and Australia. In 2012, Erwin co-founded a medical device startup that focused on developing solutions for chronic pain management. After failing, he became interested in understanding how the entrepreneurial experience can enrich the personal leadership journey. Erwin was part of the team that won first place at the MITx Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in 2016. He is a Certified Instructor for “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” for new venture creation. Erwin has taught in universities & polytechnics including Bioentrepreneurship at NTU. He also volunteers as a mentor in developing children & youths holistically.Joanne Tan - Director, Marketing Communications, Ageing AsiaSince joining Ageing Asia – Asia’s first ageing market social enterprise, in 2012, Joanne has been leading the marketing communications team, and is actively involved in the content marketing and media activities for the company and its global programmes. Her recent portfolio also includes community engagement where she is responsible for partnership engagement activities with tertiary institutions, TACs and community representatives. Joanne is also the editor of the Ageing Asia Alliance Journal – Ageing Asia’s inhouse e-magazine that provides updates on the latest trends and happenings on the business of ageing. She enjoys reading the commentaries from industry representatives and covering on best practices from around the world. In her role as the editor of the magazine, one of her key milestones is the revamp of the magazine, which she initiated, and tasked herself to be solely involved in the redesign of the look and editorial direction. Today the journal is distributed to 10,000 Alliance members and partners network over 30 countries. Ageing is a topic close to her heart, and Joanne hopes to redefine ageing by engaging the industry further and facilitate knowledge sharing through her works and the professional experiences she has accumulated in marketing, content research and business development in the education sector.Cassandra Seah - Founder & CEO, Generation ConnectCassandra found her passion because her grandfather forgot how to come home, a home he had been living in for the past 50 years. It drove her to develop solutions for seniors and healthcare institutions to empower, enrich and ease their lives. She champions maximizing the value in concepts through frugal innovation and also, coming from a background of business and product development, she believes cross-disciplinary pathways are where new ways of thinking are nurtured to create a kinder, more efficient and sustainable environment. She is also a President PhD Scholar in Imperial College London and has multiple global accolades.Isaiah Chng - Director, ProAgeIsaiah Chng is a social entrepreneur, clinical exercise physiologist and well-being strategist. For over 13 years, more than 200,000 have benefited from his passion and work that help people live longer, healthier and better - no matter their age.
