MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL is a traditional festival celebrated by the Chinese to thank god as it mark the end of the autumn harvest. The moon is also believed to be at its fullest during the festival period. As such, it is customary for families and loved ones to gather outdoors to enjoy the beautiful moon with tea and mooncakes and the children playing with bright colourful, mesmerizing lanterns.A Lantern-Lit Evening Walk of DiscoveriesJoin us for an evening walk to discover the nocturnal side of this unique city park under the illumination of lanterns. Our experienced host will guide you through the heritage of the place and share his knowledge of the flora and fauna. The glow of the lanterns makes the walk not just fun but also romantic. The walk will start from a heritage building of 195 Pearl's Hill Terrace. This place houses a secret bunker that was formerly the Combined Operations Room. A complimentary tour to the bunker can be arranged at 4pm on the day of your ticket. Pearl's Hill City ParkTucked away in a corner of Chinatown, Pearl’s Hill City Park is a hidden oasis of peace and tranquillity. Built around a reservoir on top of a hill, the park is a great place to take a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.Visitors can look forward to enjoying the wooded ambience provided by the mature Tembusu trees while basking in the serenity of the park. Alternatively, sit back and relax by the pond and admire the beautiful lotus plants. When in full bloom, the lotus plants provide a brilliant splash of colour across the pond’s still waters.
