★ABOUT THIS ONLINE TALK


Employee’s performance at the workplace is a rising concern amongst most employers, particularly since the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO). The law allows an employer to terminate an employee if the employee’s performance is found to be unsatisfactory. However, there are certain criteria to be observed and fulfilled. Join us for this online talk in which our speakers will discuss the issues pertaining to employees’ poor performance and how employers should handle such situations.

★SPEAKERS

Janessa Kok graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in 2014 and completed her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2016. She read in the Chambers of MahWengKwai & Associates under the guidance of Mr Richard Wee and Ms Sarah Kambali. Janessa was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2017.

She continues her journey in this legal profession with MahWengKwai & Associates in the areas of employment law, corporate and commercial litigation and general litigation particularly in family, criminal, debt recovery and contractual disputes.

Sue Ann graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from University of London (External) in 2016. She completed her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2017. She commenced her pupillage in MahWengKwai & Associates under the tutelage of Mr Raymond Mah.
Sue Ann was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in November 2018. Upon admission to the Malaysian Bar, she began her practice in MahWengKwai & Associates as an Associate in 2018.
Sue Ann practices in the areas employment law and general litigation particularly in probate and administration of estate, debt recovery and family law matters.
