Synopsis:This informal workshop explores a range of strategies for
conceiving and composing successful collaborative research grant proposals,
facilitated by scholars with extensive experience in both traditional and
practice-led arts research. About the Facilitators:
Professor Kenneth Hamilton is Dean (International)
of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Head of the School
of Music at Cardiff University. He has been a research grant assessor for the
Arts and Humanities Research Council (UK), the British Academy, the Leverhulme
Trust, the National Research Council (Canada) and the Fonds zur Förderung der
wissenschaftlichen Forschung (Austria) among other organizations.
Dr Monika Hennemann is a musicologist and Director
of the Department of German at Cardiff University. Her successful research
grant proposals include awards from the Arts and Humanities Research Council
(UK), the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (Germany), the
Klassik Stiftung Weimar (Germany), the American Musicological Society (US)
and the Royal Musical Association (UK). *This session is open to NAFA staff only
