In 2006, The Newsweek Japan named him as one of the 100 Japanese respected by the world. He is the lead dancer in various productions of renowned Japanese flamenco theatre company Arte y Solera, and also the artistic director. His flamenco work has expanded to new frontiers with workshops with people with disabilities and collaborations with Kabuki, classical and pop music and so on.
