Voices in FlamencoExperience the diversity of
Flamenco styles across Asia. FamencAsia
features established and emerging artists from Singapore, Japan, China and
Taiwan. The festival promotes artistic
cohesion of Flamenco artistes in Asia to create an Asia-Pacific hub for
Flamenco.The highlight is Hiroki Sato from
Japan, co-director of the established flamenco theatre company of Japan
‘Arte y Solera’
and
winner of the Grand Prize in Agency for Cultural Affairs Arts Festival 2004.
Guest artistes include dancer/singers Lu Lee from Taiwan, Zhen Zhao from China, and
flamenco guitarist Sergio Muñoz, with Singapore based Flamenco Sin
Fronteras
company dancers including Tilly Wong, Daphne Huang Vargas, Yuriko Kurose,
Mamiko Nakane, Nobuyoshi Nakane and Toshiaki Konno.
