Hello, Welcome to my June 2020 Free Micro Online class registration.My name is Susan Olij, and I am an artist and educator based in Singapore. I've been an artist most of my life, and my work can be seen in www.olij.studio, as well as on Instagram: Olijstudio_travels.During lockdown due to Corona Virus Pandemic, I've been teaching drawing and sketching online and realize the demand for it has increased a lot but not everyone can afford the time or the money. I create this micro free class especially for beginner artists who are curious, wanting to but feeling scared to start drawing the human figure, or don't know how to start. You can go to Youtube but where do you go? Who's good there with so many choices. The human figure is the most complex of all subjects to draw, and it is also the most satisfying subject once you have a few skills you can apply. This 30 minutes class may be short but it will be packed with ways to start drawing the human figure with ease and with confidence and I will recommend the youtube channels I follow for learning figure drawings so you too can have the resource.  For this class, you will need to prepare a pencil, or a pen and some paper, no erasers needed. You will also be asked to have an open beginners mind, even if you've done figure drawing before and a sense of ease.You'll need a laptop, or an ipad works too and a zoom account to access the class. Accessing the class on your phones will also work but I will be doing demonstrations and the screen on the phone might be too small to clearly see the demo. There will not be any time for feedback or conversation because this is a really short class. But you can ask your questions anytime during the class and I will try my best to answer it. You can go to https://www.zoom.us to download zoom. Participants will get the zoom link and password one day before the event and again a few hours before the class.If there's any issues and you didn't get the zoom link. please email olij.studio@gmail.com and I'll sort it out. Please excuse me for this is my first time using peatix, and there might be some unexpected glitches.  As this is an experimental free session, if this session is successful, I will do more free sessions.For people outside of Singapore who'd like to join.
