After a hugely successful launch for Comedy Masala mailing list members, one-on-one online comedy classes are now available for everyone.  Each session is a ONE-ON-ONE online class run by Comedy Masala founder, Umar Rana Classes are run via Zoom (link will be sent to participants 24 hours prior to the class). You only need to attend ONE class to get started. Future classes/development will be based on individual goals. If you're interested in performing Live on Stage at Comedy Masala as part of an Advanced Level program, then we'll talk about that as well during your session! Target Audience:-Anyone interested in the basic structure of stand-up comedy.-Anyone who wants to get started performing stand-up comedy.-Management / Executives who want to improve their presentations skills (written & verbal).-Anyone who wants to ‘stand out’ in a group of friends with a great sense of humor! What will we cover?-Basic introduction to stage character.-BME approach (what’s BME? You’ll find out!).-How to write a funny story or joke.-Stage persona / voice techniques.-Writing skills.-Breathing techniques.Plus:One free entry to a future Comedy Masala show to see other comedians use the skills you've learned.Who's the teacher?The class is facilitated by Umar Rana. TV Credits: Comedy Central & Channel 5Umar is the founder of Comedy Masala. In July 2016, Umar made his TV debut on “Comedy Central Asia presents Stand-up Asia!”, and in 2013 was listed as Top 10 comedians in Asia by Top 10 Magazine, Malaysia. Umar has been doing comedy since 2001, in both improv and stand-up. He was one of the founding members of Black Fish, Pakistan's first & highly acclaimed English-Speaking Improv Comedy Troupe. He's performed live in Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia & Pakistan. He was the official opening act for BILL BURR in Singapore, and has hosted and opened for Hollywood comedian Rob Schneider. Umar is also the Resident MC at Singapore's biggest weekly comedy show, Comedy Masala. Prior to pursuing comedy full-time, Umar worked at Standard Chartered Bank for 15 years in the Retail & Risk Management functions across Singapore, Bahrain & Pakistan. ____________________NOTE: Cancellations/Refunds are not allowed, so please make sure you choose the correct timeslot for yourself.
