ABOUT DOUGLAS LIM | For Malaysians this man needs no introduction - Douglas is a household name and a hugely popular stand-up comedian. But due to greed he is also other things - an actor (1957 – Hati Malaya, Los & Faun, spontan, TenTenTen, Kopitiam, Homecoming, Lat the Musical, P.Ramlee the Musical, Tunku the Musical, Broken Bridges) and a composer and lyricist for tv and stage (Kopitiam, Reality, Ghost, Cuci the Musical). His stand-up comedy performances include “Eh, Got Free Ticket Ah?” at Actors Studio Bangsar, Comedy Club (KL, Penang & Singapore), Lake Club Comedy Night, Harith Iskander’s Nationwide Tour, PJ Laugh Festival, The Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians and numerous corporate events. Douglas won the Malaysian Video Awards (1998) for Best Original Score for “Kopitiam”. He was also nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy at the Asian TV Awards.
