REFLECTING ON SURFACESOver the course of art’s history, a wide
variety of materials have been used to imply particular meanings. Gold, for
example, was frequently used in the Middle Ages to signify importance. How does
its use in contemporary times affect the way we understand an artwork now?
In this 5-session series, each week we will look at the different natures of surfaces and how that can affect the meaning of an artwork. This will be
conducted through a combination of practical work and resources available at
Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris.FULL SERIES PACKAGE - All 5 sessions must be completed within this series.
