Funds are needed to hire specialists, service overhead expenses, and create network links among others. For reasons like these, prospectors pursue funds to fuel their projects. In the commercial sector, proposals are written to apply for bank loans, commercial grants, R&D grants, or even to pitch for government-based incentive funds. Applying for funds can be very challenging for some as there are numerous requirements and expectations to meet. Not only must applicants have a viable set of ideas, they must also demonstrate an awareness of the issues around their projects, provide detailed methods of implementations, as well as state their forecasted budgeting and clear returns of investment. Additionally, they must be able to communicate appropriately and according to expected conventions. However, crafting proposals is not painful, as long as applicants are able to comprehend and practise the fundamentals that go into drafting such technical documents.
